Do you know the difference between Well-Being and Self-Care?

Personally, I didn't know until a few weeks ago, when I decided to find out more about these two words, which are so often used nowadays and which I also use in my communication, because they have taken on such an important meaning for me since I became a mother. Alright, so let's break it down in a chill way. πŸ˜‰

Self-care is like the stuff you do to take care of yourself on purpose. Imagine you’re feeling super stressed or just kind of off; self-care is when you decide, "Hey, I'm gonna do something nice for myself." This could be anything from taking a hot bath, going for a run, watching your favourite show, or even just napping. It's all about doing things that make you feel better physically, mentally, or emotionally. It's the actions you take to keep yourself feeling good or to pick yourself up when you're down.

Well-being, on the other hand, is more like the big picture of how you're doing overall. It's not just one thing you do; it's about how you feel about your life in general. Are you happy? Do you feel fulfilled? It covers a lot of ground, like your emotional health, physical health, your relationships, and even how you feel about your work or hobbies. Well-being is the end goal, the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy over the long term.

So, if we were to sum it up: self-care is like the individual things you do to take care of yourself and manage stress, while well-being is the overall vibe of how your life feels in terms of happiness and health. Self-care is a part of what helps you achieve a state of well-being. It's like self-care actions are the steps you take on the path to reaching the chill zone of well-being.
